Protein Data
Bank
THE databank for known protein 3D-structures.
CATH
Protein
Structure Classification. CATH classifies the known protein structures
from the PDB. INTRODUCTION
TO CATH
SCOP
SCOP is another classification of PDB protein structures.
SCOP: Introduction
SWISS-PROT and TrEMBL
SWISS-PROT is a curated protein sequence database which strives to
provide a high level of annotations (such as the description of the
function of a protein, its domains structure, post-translational
modifications, variants, etc.), a minimal level of redundancy and high
level of integration with other databases.
TrEMBL is a computer-annotated supplement of SWISS-PROT that contains
all the translations of EMBL nucleotide sequence entries not yet
integrated in SWISS-PROT.

TOPS
Tool that draws cartoons of proteins. These cartoons visualize the
topology of proteins.

Nomenclature
for Nucleic Acid Sequences
Contains recommended symbols for
DNA/RNA sequences, including incompletely specified bases. Contains
further, amino acid codetable and amino-acid one letter code. One may
want to see just the
tables.
Nomenclature and Symbolism for Amino Acids and Peptides See the contained table for one and three-letter codes of common amino-acids.
